10:43am: Trades
After reading computing magazine (www.computing.co.uk) I was compelled to get out of cable and wireless.  Apparently the management is trying to sue IBM over the cost of its outsourcing agreement (now terminated) with them.  It all sounds terribly expensive.
I got out at 108.77p .
I've increased my holding of LOG (logicacmg) a brought more shares at approx 145p.

It being the 4th of July NYSE will be closed today, yesterday all  my 'american' shares went up!!

I've sold a load of LXK at 71.00 and will increase my holding of AMD if my order to buy at $6.40 goes through.

The symbols for z1 to z17 have yet to be decided, but I will try to keep as close to the old zwack codes as possible.

I've decided to sell LXK as it fallen through its 40 day moving average, I'm hoping to pick up some more AMD. I still have a long term view on PTEN.

OU:

I'm gonna have to crash out TMA 04 of M301 this week

SHARES:

AMD has been going down lately but I'm taking a long term view - i believe they will come good eventually.

UK:BLM - the trend seems to be downwards but prices seem  volitile, i'll probably have to wait a bit for a blip before i can bail out

UK:LOG and UK:CW. seem to be gaining.

LXK   I don't really like this com because it makes more money from its toner packs than its printers, but whilst its shares are going up i will stick.

AMAT and PTEN -- i have a long term view on both

RHAT (on watchlist)  at 7.45 (a little expensive?) I will prob  buy if they fall to 6.00 ish.

OU:

M358 TMA o3 nearly finished -- just a few wafflely bits to do (which means i will have to skim through the course text to find the answers) .

DISCORDIANISM:

Reference Zwack codes
random thoughts  alphabet = 27 chars numeric = 10 chars
if zero and alpha 'O' are allowed to be the same, then we have 36 'outcomes'
This would allow all the 'outcomes' to be stored in 9x4 matrix
If we consider rows and columns then to find a given 'outcome' and with a view of the 'zwack - grid' (TM) Then by a suitable 'zwack - across - code'(TM) and a suitable 'zwack - down - code'(TM)  then we should arrive at the given 'zwack - outcome'(TM).

Sets

'zwack - outcome' (TM) = { A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I,J,K,L,M,N,P,Q,R,S,T,U,V,W,X,Y,Z,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0 }
'zwack - across - code'(TM) = { z1, z2, z3, z4, z5, z6, z7, z8, z9 }
'zwack - down - code'(TM) = { z10, z11, z12, z13, z14, z15, z16, z17 }

** NOTE z10 OR z14 refer to row1, z11 OR z15 refer to row2, z12 OR z16 refer to row3, z13 OR z17 refer to row4 **

to be continued.

One of my London Shares, LogicaCMG has been tipped in the Saturday Telegraph so I am looking forward to next week.

Educational:
TMA 03 for M358 relational databases is dragging on too much, I should be able to finish it this week, as I have already finished Question 1 (from 3).

Discordian: Have been thinking of using a neural network to encrypt Ascii
(0-9) and (A-Z) into 'double' zwack codes (reference page 73 of the Principia Discordia)
I've decided to implement a few changes

(Modified Zwack Code)
A = "hot cross bun" and "tombstone" (no change)
B = "double over lapping pyramid" and "empty glass" (no change)
C = "r" and 'cresent moon' (no change )
D = 'euro 7' and '7' (nc)
E = 'mirrored L' and '*' (nc)
F = 'male' and '[' (nc)
G = ']' and 'Chinese Symbol' (nc)
H = dot dash (nc)
I = '+' and triangle (nc)
J = '+' and 'inverted triangle' SUGGESTED CHANGE
K = mercury and ' funny cross ' (nc)
L = 'L' and ank (nc)
M = 'I' and triangle (nc)
N = 'H' and triangle (nc)
O = 'T' and saucepan (nc)
P = ':' and 'square' (nc)
Q = tau and 'curly x' (nc)
R = X and theta (nc)
S = diamond and knocker (nc)
T = 'r' and 'hot cross bun' (nc)
U = 'upsidedown square root' and 'london underground' (nc)
V = 'barred 4'and underscored 2 (nc)
W = 'X in box' and 'fish-hook' (nc)
X = 'magic roundabout' and 'useless fork' (nc)
Y = : and ] SUGGESTED CHANGE
Z = 'curly N' and 'bowtie rotated 90 degrees' (nc)
Numerals:
1 = 'upsidedown pawnbroker' and '#' SUGGESTED CHANGE
2 = 'inverted smile' and 'empty glass' SUGGESTED CHANGE
3 = 'smile' and 'cresent moon' SUGGESTED CHANGE
4 = '[' and ']' SUGGESTED CHANGE
5 = 'curly X' and '*' SUGGESTED CHANGE
6 = 'male' and 'useless fork' SUGGESTED CHANGE
7 = ']' and 'anhk' SUGGESTED CHANGE
8 = dot and 'bowtie rotated 90 degrees' SUGGESTED CHANGE
9 = '+' and 'upsidedown pawnbroker' SUGGESTED CHANGE
zero = 'curly N' and 'square' SUGGESTED CHANGE

These modifications have the advantage that now every alphanumeric is represented by two symbols which is much more consistent.
